The promotion

This MiWay promotion runs from 5 June 2008 to 30 June 2008.  At the end of this period 5 visitors who have contacted MiWay and have been entered into the competition, will stand a chance of winning FREE personal, short-term insurance for 1 year.  The winners will be announced on 4 July 2008 and published on MiWay’s website.

Entrants

Entry may be attained by completing a contact form on www.miway.co.za, calling 0860 64 64 00 or by sending the word “Dad” via SMS to 31512 and supplying us with your contact details.  This promotion is open to the general public but limited to Fathers. Entrants must be South African citizens and in possession of a valid South African ID.

Winners

• The winners will be selected via a random draw by independent auditors and winners will be notified by phone using the contact number (cellphone number) on their entry application.  If this contact number is no longer valid and the individual cannot be contacted; he will forfeit the prize.  Another winner will be selected in accordance with the provisions of these Terms and Conditions.
• The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.  The prize is exclusively for the winners and is neither transferable nor exchangeable.
• If the winner is not a MiWay client at the time of the draw, the winner will be awarded a cash prize of R 5000.
• Should the winner be a MiWay client as the time of the draw,  the winner will receive free personal, short-term insurance cover for 1 year, limited to the risks already covered with MiWay at the time of the draw.
• Winners who decide to cancel their insurance at any time during the 12 months after the prize has been rewarded, will forfeit the remainder of the prize. Industry accepted standard terms and conditions apply.
• If MiWay cancels a winner’s policy based on industry accepted underwriting practice, the winner will forfeit the remainder of the prize.
• Winners will be allowed to replace items covered at the time of the draw without an additional cost at MiWay’s  discretion.  Should the Winner choose to add additional items to their cover subsequent to the draw, these items will be subject to an additional monthly premium.

Security

While MiWay  will not be held liable for the unintended disclosure of information collected, this campaign takes every precaution to protect users’ information.  All of our users’ information, not just the sensitive information mentioned above, is restricted.  Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job are granted access to personally identifiable information.  Furthermore, all employees are kept up-to-date on security and privacy practices. 

General

• All information relating to this promotional competition and published on the website, and any promotional or advertising material forms part of the terms and conditions of entry.
• No entry via SMS, email, our website’s contact form or by calling 0860 64 64 00 will be considered to be valid until a validation process has taken place.  Entries are only valid if full contact details of the entrant have been provided. 
• The prize will only be awarded to a winning entrant upon the production of a valid entry.
• The contract arising out of this promotional competition is subject to the terms and conditions set out in these rules and contained on all promotional and advertising material, the entry form.
• MiWay, its directors, members, partners, employees, agents, consultants, suppliers, contractors and sponsors assume no liability whatsoever for any direct or indirect loss or damage arising from an entrant’s participation in the promotional competition or for any loss or damage, howsoever arising.
• MiWay will be entitled to publish the winner’s name and photographs in any advertising, promotional, print, point of sale or public relations material for a period of 12 (twelve) months from the date of the lucky draw provided that the winner consents in writing to such usage, after having being publicly announced as the winner of the promotional competition.
• If required to terminate this promotion by the Minister for Trade and Industry, the Lotteries Board, Financial Services Board for whatever reason, MiWay shall have the right to terminate the promotional competition with immediate effect and without notice of such termination.  In such event, all entrants hereby waive any rights, which they may have against MiWay and hereby acknowledge that they will have no recourse or claim of any nature whatsoever against MiWay, its directors, members, partners, employees, sponsors, agents or consultants.
• All entrants, by entering the promotional competition, agree to be bound by the competition rules.
