Depending on the cover you have you may or may not have cover for the items mentioned. Items that are factory fitted in the vehicle are covered as part of the vehicle under that specific section of the policy and the applicable vehicle excess will be applicable. In the case of non-standard items they need to be specified on the vehicle section for there to be cover. In order for other items
(sunglasses, CDs, Garmin, etc) to be covered, you need to have either specified or unspecified cover (depending on the value) for there to be cover away from the house. It is also important to note that there are certain policy conditions that are applicable to a loss out of a vehicle, for instance that the items must be concealed in either the cubby hole of boot area of the vehicle and not left out in the open, and that there need to be visible signs of forced entry into the vehicle itself.
