Good Day. I am currently insured with MiWay and was recently involved in an accident with someone who is not insured. None of us admitted to guilt as we were not sure who was to blame for the accident. He was coming out of a parking bay on the left hand side of the road and I was traveling down the road in the middle lane,I then changed to the far left lane and that’s when the accident happened. Who is liable for the cost of repairs in a case like this?
We recommend that each party claims from his/her own company for damages sustained to the vehicles. The legal departments of the respective companies will assess the merits of the incident and the possibility of a recovery of costs incurred.
