I have items in my household which i have lost receipts for which i have had for years. Eg TV . How do i cover them with my way and how does MIway decide on the value of these items?
MiWay may insist on proof of ownership and value for any item for which you claim. That being said we do take into account the value and age of the item before requesting proof of ownership. You need to insure the TV along with all other personal possession in your house and outbuildings under MiHome Stuff (MiWay’s Household Contents Insurance) for its total replacement value. This is the cost of replacing the lost or damage item with a new one. Be sure that you have sufficient cover so that average is not applied at the time of a claim.
