I was in an accident and the other party was at fault. Once the assessment was done i was to told by MiWay that “we will not repair the vehicle, it is not economical to repair.” What does this actually mean? And does that mean i get nothing at all?

The purpose of the assessment is to establish the repair cost of the vehicle. When the repair costs exceeds 70% of the value of the vehicle then it is no longer viable for us to repair the vehicle and we then deem the vehicle to be uneconomical to repair. Instead of repairing the vehicle we will take the vehicle as salvage and pay you out for the value less any applicable excesses and deductions. Kindly contact our claims department and they will gladly assist.
