Hi I am not sure if this development is now complete? The Engineer who designed the off ramp coming from Pretoria /Johannesburg to William Nicol really messed up the design. Now it is backed up for anyone turning left towards Sloane. Historically the left turn lane had its own lane and one could turn left from both the left and the middle lane. Now the left lane not only has to feed, there is a giant island where the middle lane used to be. Now all right turning drivers have relatively free passage, but not left. I will be expected to pay a toll to get to the bottle neck quicker…

The animation of the new interchange at William Nicol does not clearly show that there is going to be an elimination of Robots. This is the only way to improve the vehicle flow rate. In the centre of the bridge where the yellow and blue lines meet is there going to be a fly over or under pass? It appears that this cross over will have robots.
