The worst pest infestations ever recorded

We have all seen cockroaches scampering from one side of a room to the next at some point or another, and some of us have even been unlucky enough to play host to an unwelcome guest in the form of a mouse or a rat. Most of us will do everything in our power to prevent pests from infiltrating our homes. However, not all people are as pest-conscious as one might hope, as the following videos clearly demonstrate.

Below is a list of the worst pest infestations ever recorded – please note that these videos are definitely not for the faint hearted!

Mouse Infestation, 1993, South Australia

This video is shocking to say the least. Recorded in 1993 outside of the Vennings’ livestock shed, it is safe to say that there are millions of mice pouring out of that door. The worst part? It wasn’t just this particular farm that was affected by the mice. The plague extended throughout South Australia, causing damage and wreaking havoc beyond belief. Watch the video for all of the grizzly details – if you dare!

Bed Bug Infestation, 2011, New York, USA

This video shows a bed bug infestation that is disgusting enough to leave you feeling ill. Having been breeding undisturbed for months, the bed bugs weren’t even exclusively found within the bed – they had spread throughout the room, from the curtains to the walls and beyond. If you have a strong stomach, watch the entire video – it only gets worse!

Termite Infestation, 2012, Australia

This family in Australia was met with a termite problem so bad, it was completely out of their control. Termites literally envelope every aspect of the home, and boast nests so massive, they are comparative to the ones found in the depths of the Australian outback.

Cockroach Infestation, 2012, New York, USA

Seeing just one cockroach is usually enough to send any home owner into a panic, resulting in them making a desperate phone call to the nearest pest control specialist for fear of ending up in the same situation in which this New York family found themselves. Watch the video to see hundreds of cockroaches invading this home. We must warn you though – it is definitely not a sight that you will be quick to forget.
