Terms and Conditions

The Wish I Knew competition will be subject to the following conditions:

  • To enter the competition, you need to get an obligation-free business insurance quote between 8 November 2023 and 31 December 2023. You will be entered into the draw if we are unable to save you money on your insurance premium, excluding benefits.
  • The participant must provide accurate, current, and complete information when participating in the competition. MiWay may request a winner to provide proof of their current insurance policy to conduct a like-for-like comparison.
  • MiWay reserves the right to remove any entries if seen as spam, derogatory, offensive or obscene in nature.
  • Five winners will be selected by random draw and announced on the 10th of January 2024. Winners will be notified by email and announced on MiWay-owned platforms (Social Media and MiWay’s website).
  • The selection of the winner(s) is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  • Winners of other, unrelated competitions may enter.
  • MiWay’s decision to grant a prize does not rely on the participant taking up a MiWay policy.
  • Each winner will receive a R10,000 cash prize which will be paid to their respective business account. Instructions will be provided to each winner by email.
  • The prize is not transferrable. In case of refusal or non-acceptance of the prize or conditions that are inherent to the competition, the prize will not be awarded and MiWay will be entitled to choose another winner.
  • Each winner will have seven working days from the date of contact, on the 10th of January 2024 to claim their prize, whereafter the prize will be forfeited and given to the runner-up.
  • Applicants of the competition permit MiWay and its competition partners to process their personal data about participation in the competition. MiWay and its competition partner(s) will safely store all entrants’ and applicants’ personal information in its database, which is confidential and will be treated in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act.
  • The competition is not open to MiWay, MiWayLife, employees as well as their immediate family or cohabitating partners. Also excluded from participation are the staff and relatives of any person acting on behalf of MiWay in respect of the competition.
  • This competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, the social media platform that it was promoted on.
  • MiWay is entitled to, at its discretion and without notice, change or modify these terms and conditions of the competition without giving a reason to discontinue, modify or adapt the competition for reasons of its own without any obligation to compensate any damages on behalf of the participant. Any changes or adaptations within the competition will be made public on MiWay’s owned platforms (Social Media and MiWay’s website). MiWay also reserves the right to amend or alter these terms, the conditions of the competition at any time and reject entries from entrants who act outside of the fair spirit of the competition.
  • Where a prize is to be delivered by electronic means, there can be no claim of any kind against MiWay for defects to the validity of the code, data or other electronically transmitted information containing the prize. In such a case, MiWay may direct the recipient to a third-party provider for resolution as a best endeavour.
  • MiWay is in no way responsible for any damages arising from participation in the competition for any technical malfunctions, failures, or delays with respect to participation in the competition.
