Simply fill up your sink/bath or basin with boiling hot water and add a few generous drops of soap. Mix the solution and remove the plug – let the hot water and dish soap disappear into the drain. The hot water and dish soap will simultaneously dislodge any blockages and emulsify any fat or oil build-up.
Although a more foamy solution, the combination of hydrogen peroxide and baking soda is sure to solve your drain woes. Mix together one cup of hydrogen peroxide with one heaped tablespoon of baking soda. Quickly stir the solution and pour it down the problematic rain. Be sure to let it foam for one hour before letting the tap run to clear away the foam and debris.
