Part 1: Terms and Conditions (Ukhozi FM & Miway)
Dizemba Money Competition Terms and Conditions
Miway Insurance Limited (registration number 2007/026289/06), a licensed non-life insurer and Financial Services Provider (FSP 33970) ("the Promoter" or "Miway"), in partnership with Ukhozi FM ("the Radio Station"), presents the Dizemba Money Competition ("the Competition").
Participation in this Competition constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions ("the Rules"). Please read them carefully.
1. Competition period
1.1 The Competition runs from 28 October 2026 to 13 November 2026, both days included ("the Competition Period").
1.2 The on-air competition is broadcast on the Ukhozi FM Breakfast Show from Wednesday to Friday between the 4 November 2026 and 13 November 2026.
1.3 Miway may extend the Competition Period and/or adjust these Rules at its discretion. Any change will be published on miway.co.za and on Ukhozi FM and Miway's official social media pages.
2. Who may enter
2.1 The Competition is open to South African citizens and permanent residents who are 18 years or older and who hold a valid South African ID and driver’s license where applicable for purposes of obtaining a motor insurance quote
2.2 The following people may not enter:
• Employees of Miway Insurance, MiWayLife, Santam and the Sanlam Group.
• Employees of Ukhozi FM and the SABC.
• Immediate family members of the above (spouses, partners, cohabitating partners, parents, children or siblings).
• Employees of Miway's marketing, advertising, PR, media or digital agencies, and any third-party service providers or business partners involved in running the Competition.
3. How to enter
3.1 To enter, request an obligation-free Miway car insurance quote during the Competition Period by calling 0860 64 64 64 or visiting the Miway website [pending link with specific IP to the campaign]
3.2 You must give correct and complete details, including your full name, ID number and a mobile number on which you can be reached.
3.3 Each valid quote request is one entry. Requesting more than one quote with the same ID number or mobile number does not increase your chances of being selected. Multiple entries are not allowed.
3.4 Entering does not oblige you to take out a Miway policy. A prize is not dependent on you taking out a policy.
3.5 Entries made by bots, scripts or any automated method are invalid, and the entrant may be disqualified for using these methods.
4. How winners are selected
4.1 During the Competition Period, eligible entrants may be randomly selected by means of an independently verifiable electronic or manual draw process and awarded a prize in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
4.2 Six (6) winners will each win R20 000 (twenty thousand Rand) in cash, a total of R120 000 (one hundred and twenty thousand Rand) in Dizemba Money, resulting in three winners per week and six winners in total.
4.3 A selected entrant must answer the call and confirm their full name, ID number and that they requested a Miway quote during the Competition Period. Any on-air question or task applies at the discretion of the Ukhozi FM Breakfast DJ.
4.4 If the selected entrant does not answer, the call goes to voicemail or the entrant cannot confirm their details, the DJ may make up to three (3) attempts within the same show. If the entrant is still unreachable, they are disqualified, and another entrant will be selected.
4.5 A person can win only once during the Competition.
4.6 The decision of the Promoter and Ukhozi FM on all matters relating to the Competition, including the selection of winners is final and binding,acting reasonably and in accordance with these Rules and no correspondence will be entered into.
5. Prizes
5.1 There are six (6) prizes of R20 000 cash each. Prizes are not transferable and cannot be exchanged for anything else.
5.2 Winners will be paid by EFT into a South African bank account in the winner's own name within [30] business days of the winner submitting the documents in clause 5.3.
5.3 To claim the prize, a winner must send Miway within [7] days of being notified: a certified copy of their ID, proof of residence, a bank confirmation letter, and any other document Miway reasonably requests to verify the entry.
5.4 If the winner does not send the documents in time, refuses the prize or does not accept these Rules, the prize is forfeited and Miway may select an alternate winner from the remaining eligible entries. .
5.5 Any tax consequences arising from the acceptance of a prize shall be for the winner's account, where applicable.
5.6 Miway will not reimburse any expenses linked to taking part, including data, airtime, call or SMS costs and transport.
6. Announcing winners
6.1 Winners are announced live on the Ukhozi FM Breakfast Show.
6.2 Miway and Ukhozi FM may publish the winner's first name, surname initial and province, and may record and broadcast the winner's voice and a photograph of the winner, on air and on their websites and social media pages, without payment. By accepting a prize, winners consent to the publication of their first name, surname initial, province, voice recordings and such photographs or videos as may reasonably be required for publicity relating to the Competition.
6.3 A list of winners is available on request from Marketing@miway.co.za
7. Social media competition (Find the Dizemba Money)
7.1 Between 21 October 2026 and 13 November 2026, Miway will run social media promotional competitions on its official Facebook, Instagram and X pages, for a total of R10 000 (ten thousand Rand) in Uber vouchers.
7.2 The social media prize pool is made up of twenty (20) retail vouchers of R500 each. Twenty (20) vouchers are available during the teaser phase (28 October to 31 October 2026).
7.3 To enter, you must follow the Miway pages where the game is posted and comment with the correct answer on the game post before the closing time stated on that post. Additionally, participants must tag at least one friend in accordance with the instructions on the applicable post.
7.4 A random draw will be done from all correct and valid entries on each game post. The number of winners per game is stated on the post.
7.5 A person can win only once per game and only once across the whole social media competition.
7.6 Winners will be notified by direct message or by a reply on their comment and must reply within 48 hours with their full name and a mobile number so the voucher can be sent. If a winner does not respond in time, a new winner is drawn.
7.7 Winners must be 18 years or older. Rules 2, 5.4, 5.6 and 6.2 apply to the social media competition.
7.8 A social media entry does not need a quote request and does not count as an entry for the on-air competition in Part 3.
7.9 The social media competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Meta (Facebook and Instagram) or X. You release these platforms from any liability.
7.10 Retail vouchers are subject to the voucher provider's own terms and expiry dates.
8. Disqualification
8.1 Miway may disqualify anyone who has not followed these Rules or related instructions, supplies false or incomplete information, or is suspected of fraud, manipulation or unfair play.
8.2 Delays caused by late or incomplete submissions are not Miway's responsibility.
9. General
9.1 Miway may vary, pause or cancel the Competition at any time without notice if events outside its control make it necessary, such as a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, a technical failure, or any actual or anticipated breach of law or regulation. Miway is not liable for any loss or damage in that case.
9.2 Miway and Ukhozi FM are not responsible for lost, late or misdirected entries, network or telephone failures, or anything outside their reasonable control.
9.3 Nothing in these Rules limits or excludes any rights that participants may have under applicable law. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Miway shall not be liable for any loss, damage, injury or claim arising from participation in the Competition or the acceptance or use of a prize.
9.4 These Rules are governed by South African law.
9.5 Participation in the Competition and acceptance of a prize are your binding acceptance of these Rules.
9.6 Miway reserves the right to verify the identity and eligibility of any participant and may require such information and documentation as it reasonably considers necessary for this purpose.
9.7 Miway shall not be responsible for any interruption, delay, unavailability, network failure, system outage or technical malfunction that may affect participation in the Competition.
9.8 Miway will retain records relating to the Competition as required by applicable law.
9.9 Any dispute arising from the Competition shall be referred to Miway for resolution, whose decision shall be final, acting reasonably and in accordance with these Rules.
10. Privacy and marketing consent
10.1 Miway will process your personal information to run the Competition, verify winners and pay prizes, in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) and the Miway Privacy Policy.
10.2 Miway may share the information needed to run the Competition with Ukhozi FM and its service providers.
10.3 By entering you consent to receive Competition-related communication from Miway. You may opt in to Miway marketing at the time of requesting a quote and opt out at any time.
10.4 Personal information collected for purposes of the Competition will be retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to administer the Competition and comply with applicable legal obligations.
