R2,000 Dare Campaign Terms and Conditions

We'll beat your current premium! And if we can't? We'll pay you up to R2 000 — no fuss.

This campaign is run by Miway Insurance Limited, a licensed non-life insurer and authorised financial services provider (FSP 33970). Participating means you’ve read and agreed to everything below.

Terms and Conditions

1. Campaign Duration

1.1. This campaign will run from 1 June 2026 to 30 June 2026. Miway may extend the campaign period and/or adjust its terms and conditions at our discretion.

1.2. Entries received outside of the campaign period will not be eligible.

2.      How It Works

2.1.   The customer must get an obligation-free comprehensive car insurance quote from Miway through the designated campaign platform.

2.2.   If our quote is not cheaper than what you’re currently paying, send your most recent comprehensive car insurance policy schedule to our email address at DareUpdates@miway.co.za We will compare and validate our quote and the schedule to assess the difference.

2.3.   We will assess premiums on a fair, like-for-like basis.  The following will be taken into consideration:

  • cover type;
  • excess structure;
  • car value and vehicle profile;
  • rating and risk factors;
  • regular drivers;
  • additional benefits or add-ons.

2.4.      If Miway cannot beat your current comprehensive premium by offering you a lower premium, you will be awarded an amount equal to the difference between your current car insurance premium and the Miway quoted insurance premium for one month, up to the maximum value of R2000 (Two Thousand Rand) in cash.

2.5.      Policies with a zero excess are not eligible for this campaign.

2.6.      We only make payment in cash once your quote has been validated, and all supporting documents have been verified.

3.      Eligibility

To qualify for this campaign, you must:

3.1.       Be the regular driver of the vehicle.

3.2.      This campaign covers one vehicle per person.

3.3.      Request and receive an obligation-free comprehensive car insurance quote from Miway within the campaign period.

3.4.      Be 18 years or older, and a South African citizen or permanent resident.

3.5.      Hold an active personal lines comprehensive car insurance policy.

3.6.      Have been on your existing policy for at least 30 consecutive days before the date of your Miway quote, and the schedule should not be older than 30 days.

3.7.      Give us a current policy schedule that shows:

  • your monthly premium;
  • cover type;
  • excess structure;
  • the insured vehicle’s details;
  • the insurer’s name.

3.8.      Send all the required documents to us within 30 days of receiving your Miway quote.

4.      Who’s Not Eligible

This campaign isn’t available to:

4.1.       Current Miway policyholders who already have an active car insurance policy with us.

4.2.      Anyone who requested a quote before the campaign start date and after the campaign end date.

4.3.       Quotes for Buildings, Home Contents and Value-Added Products.

4.4.      Quotes for Business Insurance.

4.5.      Anyone whose policy with Miway was cancelled by us or any other insurer, or by you, within the 6 months before participating in this campaign.

4.6.      Anyone who poses an unacceptable risk under Miway’s underwriting criteria.

4.7.      Anyone who misses the documentation deadline or submits inaccurate, false or altered documents.

4.8.      Directors, staff, agents, consultants, immediate family to staff or contractors of Miway Insurance Limited, or any of its affiliated entities or campaign service providers.

4.9.      Quotes obtained through a third-party platform, price comparison website, or aggregator do not qualify. Only quotes sourced directly through the Miway website/platform will be accepted.

5.      When We May Disqualify a Participant

Miway reserves the right to disqualify a participant if:

5.1.       Making payment would be unlawful under any applicable law, regulation, or directive.

5.2.      Fraud, dishonesty, or misrepresentation is involved — including but not limited to doctored documents, false information or inflated or inaccurate policy details.

5.3.      We have reasonable grounds to suspect abuse of the campaign, such as but not limited to multiple entries and policies under different names or accounts.

5.4.      You haven’t followed these terms and conditions, or any related instructions issued by Miway.

5.5.      Participation or payment would breach any law, regulation, or internal compliance rule.

5.6.      Miway reasonably concludes, in its sole discretion, that proceeding would carry reputational, legal or financial risk.

6.      Documents You’ll Need

Send us all of the following within 30 days of receiving your Miway quote:

6.1.      Your current insurer’s comprehensive policy schedule — must be dated within the last 30 days of participation.

6.2.      Proof that your most recent premium has been paid, in your most recent bank statement (previous month).

6.3.      Bank account confirmation letter.

6.4.      Any additional documents we reasonably request to confirm your eligibility.

If you miss the 30-day window, you will forfeit the payment. There are no exceptions.

7.       Payout to You

7.1.      If we can’t beat your premium on a like-for-like basis, we’ll pay you the difference for one month of up to R2 000 (Two Thousand Rand) in cash.

7.2.      One payout per person, per campaign period, regardless of how many vehicles you insure.

7.3.      Once we’ve verified your documents, we’ll process your payment within 30 business days.

7.4.      Delays caused by late or incomplete submissions are not Miway’s responsibility.

7.5.      If information you provide is incorrect it may slow things down — or disqualify you entirely.

8.      General

8.1.     This campaign is exclusively for clients who request a quote directly through the Miway website. It doesn’t apply to quotes arranged through brokers or intermediaries.

8.2.     Any costs you may incur beyond the payout are yours to cover. Miway won’t reimburse expenses related to participating.

8.3.    You’re responsible for the accuracy of the documents you submit. If the information submitted by you turns out to be false or misleading, you’ll be disqualified and may be excluded from future Miway campaigns.

8.4.     We may ask for more information to process your payout. If you don’t provide us with a response within 30 days of your information being requested, you may forfeit the payout. If you refuse to provide us with the requested information or documentation within 30 days of being requested, you will forfeit the payout.

8.5.     Miway may vary, pause or cancel this campaign, at any time without notice. If that happens, you waive any rights arising from the campaign and won’t have recourse against Miway or its affiliates.

8.6.     Miway and its affiliates are not liable for any loss, damage, or expenses, direct or consequential, arising from your participation or use of a payout.

8.7.     These terms are governed by South African law.

8.8.     Miway’s decision on all matters relating to this campaign is final. No correspondence will be entered into.

8.9.     Your participation in this campaign and your acceptance of the payout are your binding acceptance of the terms and conditions.

8.10.    You consent to receive marketing and/or campaign material from Miway. You are not in any way obliged to enter into a contract of insurance with Miway.

9.      Data Privacy

9.1.     Personal information collected during the campaign will be processed in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) and used solely for the administration of the campaign and related Miway marketing purposes where consent has been provided.
